FAQ

The key to a successful marketing campaign starts with clear communication.

Below you will find the questions we are most frequently asked by our Clients. If your questions or concerns are not answered
in the list below, please call us at (540) 955.0819. We welcome your inquiries and appreciate your interest in Beeline.

What kind of graphic design services does Beeline Design offer?
We offer a wide variety of design solutions, including corporate identity/branding (logos), stationery, brochures + invitations, print media, display + signage, promotionals + wearables, and web + interactive design, to suit your company’s marketing needs and expectations. We’ve had the opportunity to design for a wide variety of media, including tradeshow booths, point of purchase displays, billboard signs, and packaging design, to name a few. Check out what we do for samples of our work. If the project you envision isn’t displayed, just give us a call and let’s chat. We love a challenge.

How much does Beeline charge for design services?
An obviously important question, but one that can’t be answered without details of your design project. Your company is different from every other, so it makes sense to tailor a quote to your individual needs, based on a per-project basis. We start with a complementary phone or in-person consultation to discuss the scope of work. In this forum, we can better understand exactly what you wish to accomplish with the new campaign. Our experience in computer hardware, communications software, marketing, and business management has helped us implement efficient processes and procedures. You can rest assured you’re getting your money’s worth with Beeline.

I have a budget in mind. Can you keep within it?
Absolutely. If you have a firm marketing budget for the project or campaign, let us know and we'll recommend the best bang for your buck to market your firm and drive business your way.

How long will the project take to complete?
At the beginning of each project we will inform you of delivery timeframes, such as when to expect the initial ideas, and how long possible revisions may take. As each project is different, we wait until learning about your needs before providing a deadline. Depending upon complexity, projects can last from a few weeks in length to upwards of six months.

Can you start right away?
It’s possible, but not likely. We need to pay close attention to our current clients, and their ongoing projects. Taking on too much work at once will adversely affect the outcome—something we won’t do. Once we receive the signed contract, deposit and content (if applicable), your project is put on the production schedule and your project is next in line. Shortly thereafter, we will provide you with a tentative timeline for the project.

If our schedule permits, we will gladly try to assist you with a rush project. To be fair to other Clients, if a job already in production is interrupted by a rush job, we reserve the right to add an additional 50 – 100% on top of the normal pricing, as it often requires time allotted after normal business hours to ensure our other Clients receive their jobs on time.

I don't have any idea where to start. Can you help me?
Not a problem. Give us a call and let’s talk about your options. A project can be a daunting task. Count on us to offer sound solutions to best suit your expectations for the campaign. We offer consultation services to develop your marketing campaign.

How much Client involvement is expected?
We start with a complementary phone or in-person consultation to discuss the scope of work. In this forum, we can better understand exactly what you wish to accomplish with the new campaign. We encourage you to bring samples, swatches, sketches and ideas you’ve accrued in your research to better define your expectations. Once we receive the signed contract, deposit and content, you will receive a tentative timeline for the project. There are several phases of the project where Client approval is necessary to move forward. This ensures that the project stays on track and mirrors your expectations.

How do I check on the progress of my job?
We try to keep our Clients informed on the progress of the job. Because we require Client approval throughout the process, it keeps you involved in the process and eliminates potential communication breakdown. Should you have questions, feel free to contact us for an update.

What constitutes a Client revision and how many Client revisions are included?
We request that the Client review the comps presented and provide suggestions and/or changes in writing and in as few emails as possible to eliminate the opportunity for error and/or omission. The number of Client revisions are specified on a per contract basis.

Additional revisions will be invoiced at our standard hourly rate, upon written consent from the Client.

How does Beeline's logo design process work?
We start with a complementary phone or in-person consultation to discuss your logo history and expectations. Upon receipt of the signed contract and starter’s fee, Beeline proceeds to the competitive analysis/brainstorming phase to assess your business approach, analyze your competitors brand and begin sketching and choosing the overall color and font palette. In the design/production phase, Beeline develops the strongest concepts in Illustrator as a vector file and presents the logo to the Client. Once the revisions are complete, the logo has been approved and final payment is received, a Transfer of Ownership form is presented to the Client with a Corporate Logo Master CD that includes the Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or Encapsulated PostScript (.eps). The logo will be in vector format, which means it can be scaled to any size necessary without loss of quality. From either of these files, and with the proper software, you will be able to create any other filetype necessary (.jpg, .png, .gif, etc.). We're more than happy to help with specific file requests, and will answer questions if you’re in any way unsure.

Evaluating the competition is a necessary part of the process, and should be expected from any logo designer. Even though we research client competitors for every project, some clients choose not to have this stage documented and supplied, thus saving money.

Who has ownership of the logo?
Upon receipt of final payment, a Transfer of Ownership form is presented to the Client with a Corporate Logo Master CD.

How does your partnership work with Digital Media Enterprises to develop web and interactive designs?
Digital Media Enterprises (DME) and Beeline started working together back in 2004 when we realized we could streamline
and offer a more diverse service offering in web and interactive design. The result of the combined efforts provides innovative
ideas, software expertise, and a product developed with the latest in web technology and techniques. All web design services
are billed through Digital Media Enterprises, our web division.
